MP TO THANK WEST PARK POSTMEN AND WOMEN FOR A FIRST CLASS EFFORT

Alison Seabeck MP will visit Royal Mail’s West Park delivery office on Friday 4th December to see for herself how postmen and women in the area get Christmas sorted.

The MP will take a tour of the delivery office to see how we deal with the mountains of festive mail. She will also chat to our hardworking staff who make sure they deliver a first class Christmas for West Park residents.

Ms Seabeck will make an early start in order to meet Mike Williams, Delivery Office Manager, and some of the 128 postmen and women, who are responsible for ensuring that the massive Christmas mailbag is delivered to over 37,000 addresses at Royal Mail’s busiest time of year.

Commenting on the visit Alison Seabeck said: "Postal workers are the unsung heroes in our community. We all expect our mail to arrive safely and on time whatever the time of year or weather.  At Christmas, especially, their workload is immense.  I'm really pleased to be able to personally thank all the staff at West Park Delivery Office, on behalf of my constituent, for all their hard work".

The visit will be in time to post any cards and presents for delivery before Christmas, with the last recommended posting date on Monday 21st December for First Class mail.
